Welcome, True Believers, to The Kent Carney Awards for Comedic Excellence VIII
Louisville's Longest Running Open Mic™ The Comedy Attack! along with Germantown's own Zanzabar proudly present the most prestigious event in local awards.
Mr. Kentholomew Stephen Carney is known throughout in the greater Kentuckiana/Indyucky area as a master stage thespian, comedian, and grocer. His list of accomplishments reads like a literal list of accomplishments, including (but not limited to) 2-time recipient of the LEO-tabloid poll "Best Comedian" in Louisville award, surviving a Hellacious 16-foot fall from atop a steel cage though the Spanish announcer's table, and being declared "The Greatest Youngster I've had the Pleasure...no...no the Honor of Knowing" by renown everyman actor Jimmy Stewart.
So it is in Mr. Carney's honor that the Shadow Council of Comedy Elders® have created the Kent Carney Award for Comedy Excellence. A trinket of appreciation for local Comedians and funnyfolk we feel are worthy of upholding the good name and adoration of Kent.
